Post in this blog was an interesting job, because we could improve our English skills by ourselves. I did not enjoy this experience, this was not the dream of my life, but I think that it was very useful to practice English writing.

When I started this class I thought that write was easier than speak, so I said to myself “Work in this blog is going to be a piece of cake”, and in part this it was real, but it was not that easy as I thought it would be. The difficult of this it was not the work itself but my own weaknesses in language, and by writing posts I was able to identify and correct those weakness (at less in part). So if you ask me Did the blogging experience help you improve your English? I must answer: “Yes”. But the merit is not only of the blog, because you can find the reason of this improvement in all the activities that we did in this class, even the assistantship activities, were very useful to work on speaking, writing and listening skills.

In my opinion the blogging experience have more advantages than disadvantages. By example, when we speak in Spanish is like if we are vomiting words, in some occasions we don’t take time to think before speak, so when we want speak in English is hard, because we can not say words without think on their sense before, and we take two hours to give structure to just one sentence. But by writing we can improve that, because we can give us time to think before.

Other advantage is that we can read the work of our classmates, and compare our work whit them in order to correct among us.

And finally, with this experience, we exploit and use the technologic resources that we have here, in the school.

"La pieta"

A piece of art that I like called “La Pieta” (The piety), and was created by Miguel Angel at the 16th century. Today the sculpture is in the St Peter Basilica.

The first time that I saw “the Piety”, was a years ago. I prepare to my confirmation in my school, and one day the catechist said: “Think in the image of Virgin Mary that you like most, and bring it to the next session”. So, at night I searched in internet images of virgin Mary, because I never had a favorite one. Then I found “the piety” and I loved it.

I can’t explain why I like it, because is not a beautiful image. I think that is the emotions that transmit the attitude of Mary. She have to her dead son between her arms, and leaving aside the religion, that is hard to anybody with feelings. The artist must be a genius to create works whit so many content

Post Correction

Three years ago my hobby was photography. I had a beautiful camera, and I take photos on different activities or events. But my father moved to a different city, Viña del Mar, and he have the camera there.
I like all the photos that I took, but I cannot speak about them, because I have a lot of photos. So I have to choose one, and that is very dificult.
I remember one photo, when my mother took it I was a baby. We are close to the beach, on a big rock of Perú Avenue in Viña del mar.
It shows to my brother and I, just smiling, and that is why I love it, because it shows my tender side (a side of me that nobody knows).

Career

As you know, I’m not from Santiago, I came here because I wanted to study this subject, and it’s better than the same in Concepción.

Why I chose this?, In a first moment I saw a lot of information on internet, and I like the course of study, Especially because we have math, and I love math. But I didn’t decide based on that, I was leaving my home, my family and my friends, so I couldn't decide based on my love by math.

I did more research, and then I discover that in this career I can make a contribution, working for society, participating and creating changes, or doing this country a better place to live. Right now I only need to study a lot, because I think that there I can found the tools that I’m going to need in the future, tools like knowledge, ideas or willingness.

I still hate Santiago, but now I don’t regret coming here, because I like this project, and what it’s offering to my life.

I usually don’t drink alcohol, so I think that in the future is going to be easier leave it. But I smoke a lot, and I’m not considering cut with the habit.

Hello everybody, as you know I’m student of Public Administration. I don’t enjoy visiting web sites, I used they because I need it.
This web site isn’t related to the future of my career, but is very useful in the present, I refer to www.u-cursos.cl .
You should know it, almost all the teacher use u-cursos to send text or information of the subject. All the class have an account, and with that they can read the information or download it, so I like the site because is very practical.
I didn’t found the web site, I wasn’t searching a page with that characteristics. I know it because the professors have talk about it.
I always visit the site, I’m not a big fan, is not beautiful, but is necessary to visit it, because as I told before, there you can find a lot a material to prepare to the tests, so if I don’t revise my account probably I’m going to get bad marks.
